A large-surface flat plate solar collector with double glazing and a gross area of 15.50 m², designed for heat storage installations. Two solar glass panes and thicker insulation limit heat losses at large temperature differences between the collector and its surroundings.

Construction
Casing and double cover
An aluminium profile frame designed to partly take over the role of the mounting set. The cover consists of two tempered solar glass panes with AR coating – 4 mm outside and 3.2 mm inside – with an enlarged air gap between the glass and the absorber.
Meander absorbers
Six meander absorbers connected in parallel, laser-welded and coated with a highly selective layer (95% absorption, 5% emission). The total aperture area is 14.2 m².
Insulation and mounting
Heat losses are limited by 80 mm of mineral wool underneath and 30 mm at the sides. The frame ensures high resistance to weather conditions and makes ground installation of the collectors easier and faster.
